New laws and reforms have been passed in the NSW Parliament to help protect children and young people, based on recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
There is now a legislated requirement for councils to become Child Safe Organisations. In keeping with this, Council has developed a Draft Child Safe Policy that is now on public exhibition until Thursday, 17 August 2023 at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au
A hard copy of the Draft Child Safe Policy can also be viewed at Council's Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor, Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm during the exhibition period.
Council will receive online submissions via www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au
