State Highway Patrol members intercepted a high range drink driver in Tooborac this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Police received a number of calls reporting a Holden 4WD swerving between lanes on the Northern Highway about 2.30pm.
Members intercepted the car and requested the driver, a 52-year-old man from Bendigo, to undergo a preliminary breath test.
He returned a positive result and was required to undergo an evidentiary test where he returned a reading of 0.210%.
The man’s car was impounded with towing costs of $1125 and his licence has been immediately suspended for 12 months.
He is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences.
