A drink driver has had his license suspended after allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road in Kanumbra this morning.
Police were travelling along Maroondah Highway when they saw a Nissan Navara Utility on the wrong side, driving towards incoming traffic about 9.35am.
Officers intercepted the ute where the driver returned a positive preliminary breath test.
The 34-year-old Deer Park man was taken to a police station where he produced an alleged evidentiary breath test reading of .179.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and road safety offences.
His licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $2831.
