A driver has been charged and his licence suspended following a three-car crash in Bankstown overnight.
About 1.15am today (Sunday 8 January 2023), emergency services were called to Wattle Street, following reports of a vehicle crashing into parked cars.
On arrival, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were told that a Mazda CX-9 sedan had allegedly crashed into a parked Toyota Echo that, in turn, was pushed into a parked Mercedes.
The driver of the Mazda, a 32-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and underwent a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
During the man's arrest, officers located a small bag, believed to contain cocaine. This was seized to undergo forensic examination.
The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis test. This allegedly returned a result of 0.173.
He was charged with drive with high-range PCA and possess prohibited drug, and is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
The Wiley Park man also had his licence suspended.
