A driver has been charged after he was allegedly caught travelling 100km/h above the speed limit near Wagga Wagga yesterday.
About 4.20pm (Tuesday 9 August 2022), officers attached to Wagga Wagga Highway Patrol were conducting patrols as part of Operation Spoiler, when they allegedly detected a grey Porsche Cayenne station wagon travelling at 178km/h in an 80km/h sign-posted area along Gregadoo Road, Lake Albert.
Police stopped the Porsche and spoke with the driver, a 47-year-old man.
He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for speed dangerous, and exceed speed limit by more than 45km/h.
The Lake Albert man will appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 31 August 2022.
His NSW driver's licence has been suspended.
