A man has been charged following a double fatal crash in the Blue Mountains on Wednesday.
About 5.20pm on Wednesday 26 March 2025, emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, Linden, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to the Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and found a Toyota Camry and a Polestar vehicle had collided head on.
Two men – the driver of the Toyota and a rear occupant of the Polestar - died at the scene.
The driver and front occupant of the Polestar were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital.
A crime scene was established, and investigations have commenced into the circumstances of the crash.
Following an investigation by officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit, earlier today police attended Westmead Hospital and arrested a 27-year-old man.
The man was charged with five offences - two counts of drive manner dangerous causing death, two counts of negligent driving occasioning death and cause bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 1 April 2025.
