Police are investigating after a man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision in Altona North on 31 January.
It's believed two vehicles collided on Millers Road about 4.30pm subsequently one of the vehicles caught on fire.
The driver of one of the vehicles, an 87-year-old man, was transported to hospital in a critical condition but he has since died.
The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
