Driver Dies After Kenthurst Crash

A man has died after being critically injured in a single-vehicle crash at Kenthurst last week.

Emergency services had been called to Kenthurst Road about 10.30pm last Friday (15 November 2024), after a blue Ford XR6 Falcon sedan left the roadway and hit a power pole.

The 18-year-old driver suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The front-seat passenger, a 19-year-old man, suffered a head injury, while the back-seat passenger, also aged 18, escaped with minor injuries.

Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command initiated inquiries, assisted by the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU).

Police have now been advised the driver died yesterday in hospital.

The older man remains in hospital in a stable condition, while the third man was released. All three are from Glenwood.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
