Driver Nabbed Over Limit In Keilor

A 45-year-old man has had his car impounded after he was allegedly caught more than five time over the legal limit in Keilor yesterday.

Keilor Downs police were patrolling the Keilor area when they detected a Silver Toyota Camry driving erratically on Bonfield Street about 5.30pm.

Officers intercepted the vehicle on Bonfield Street and spoke to the driver.

He underwent a preliminary breath test and then accompanied officers to a police station for an evidentiary test where he returned an alleged reading of 0.291.

The Toyota was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1014.90.

He was released and expected to be charged on summons for drink driving and traffic offences.
