Two people have been arrested for drug offences after a traffic stop in Port Augusta.
Just after 5pm on Sunday 19 January police stopped a green Hyundai 4WD and spoke with the driver.
Police identified that the driver was disqualified and conducted a search of the car.
Police located methamphetamine, cannabis and more than $36,000.00 cash.
Police then attended and searched the man's home address allegedly further locating a large commercial quantity of cannabis.
The driver, a 48-year-old man from Whyalla Playford, was arrested and charged with traffic in a controlled drug, money laundering, carry an offensive weapon and drive disqualified. He was bailed and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on 17March.
A 66-year-old woman from Whyalla was also arrested and charged with traffic in a controlled drug, money laundering and carry offensive weapon. She was bailed to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on 17 March.
