A man has been arrested after drugs, guns and two vehicles were seized by police.
It will be alleged that on Wednesday 2 August, detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch went to a house in Korunye, near Two Wells.
Officers found 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine and 84 grams of cocaine.
After further investigation, police searched three houses across the metropolitan area on Wednesday 23 August resulting in the seizure of two vehicles, drug paraphernalia, $4000 cash, three firearms (a .22 rifle, a .308 rifle & an air-soft pistol) and ammunition, along with a small amount of steroids and some illegal fireworks.
A 40-year-old man from Mawson Lakes was arrested near his home address and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and firearms offences.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Thursday 24 August).
Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson, officer in charge of Serious and Organised Crime Branch says, "Those who choose to traffic illicit drugs should know that South Australia Police will take every opportunity to investigate and will be relentless in detecting this type of criminality. Methamphetamine in this quantity has the potential to cause significant harm to users and the wider community.
