A man has been charged with drug and firearms offences following a search at an Elizabeth Park home yesterday.
About 11am Thursday 23 March following an investigation detectives from Northern District CIB attended a Yorktown Road home to conduct a search.
Inside police located 12 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically, a homemade firearm, and a number of prohibited weapons including a crossbow, flick knife and taser.
The occupant, a 51-year-old Elizabeth Park man, was arrested and charged with cultivate cannabis, possess firearm without a licence, manufacture firearm, posses prohibited weapons and divert electricity from meter. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
