A Territory favourite festival is about to kick off the highly anticipated dry season event calendar.
Thailand Grand Festival is returning bigger and better than ever for 2024 and is expected to attract thousands of people on Saturday 27 April.
The free family event organised by the Northern Territory Thai Association and supported by the Territory Labor Government will showcase Thai culture and traditions through contemporary and traditional art of performances, a water blessing ceremony, water fights, Muay Thai, the Grand Parade, and the Thai Cultural Centre craft workshops and demonstrations.
The festival will run from 11am to 10pm at Darwin's Civic Park and also feature Darwin's largest Thai street food market, guaranteed to be packed with tantalising delights.
The spectacular Thailand Grand Parade will be a highlight, with the theme Boon Ban Fai (Rocket festival), and will be followed by a water blessing for good luck for all attendees.
Looking forwards Territorians can also expect many Dry Season staple events to return in full force including the Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival, Nepal Festival, West Macs Monster, Darwin Fringe Festival and more.
