DTU advances two places in the recognized ranking THE World University Rankings 2025 and is now number 124 in the world out of more than 2,000 universities from 115 countries. At the same time, DTU moves up one place to number 50 in Europe, but down one place in the Nordic region to number 8.
The list is compiled by the British Times Higher Education, which ranks universities in five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry collaboration and international outlook. DTU scores particularly high in industry collaboration and international outlook.
Last year, DTU moved up 40 places on the list, but DTU's President Anders Bjarklev emphasizes the fact that DTU once again remains at the top.
"It's less important that we move up a few places, what matters is that we are consistently among the best. It showcases the high quality of our teaching, research and collaboration with industry. These rankings are useful because they reflect our ability to attract talented students and researchers from all over the world and motivate us to constantly improve," he says.
