DTU's New Strategy Must Be Built On Employee Input

Technical University of Denmark

The strategy answers what DTU wants - how will we benefit others, society and the planet? For those of us who work at DTU, it is a tool - a compass that guides us and influences how we fulfil our tasks.

An effective strategy involves all layers of the organisation. Therefore, the Board has invited all DTU employees to contribute input to the strategy based on their experience and knowledge.

Invitation to input

"A strategy works best if it involves employees in its creation. Then it also involves the employees when it becomes a reality," says Margrethe Vestager, Chair of the Board of Governors.

As part of the strategy process, all units at DTU are invited to strategy workshops in February and March, where everyone can contribute. At the workshops, the goal is for all units to identify 1 - 3 strategic themes jointly:

"The task is to be open and provide all your input on which themes are important to include in DTU's new strategy - and not least why they are important." explains President Anders Bjarklev.

The Board will consider all units' suggestions for strategic themes in its further work on selecting and implementing the themes in the strategy.
