Ducati Test-Drive Theft Under Investigation in Essendon Fields

Police are investigating the theft of a Ducati Streetfighter V2 motorcycle from an Essendon Fields showroom last month.

Investigators have been told an unknown male attended the showroom on Wirraway Drive about 11am on Monday, 22 April.

It is believed the man took the dark green motorcycle for a test drive but failed to return, leaving behind a fake licence.

The motorcycle had a registration plate of DMW12 and is worth approximately $25,000.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be of Middle Eastern appearance and in his early to mid-40's, approximately 180cm tall and is of slim build.

He was seen wearing a black jacket with a grey hooded jumper underneath, blue pants and black shoes.
