Three people were arrested this morning after a violent altercation on North Terrace.
About 6.50am Saturday 18 January police were called to North Terrace, near Bank Street, after reports of a fight between a group of people, one of the men involved allegedly wielding a large stick, another armed with a pair of scissors.
When police arrived they located the victim, a 26-year-old West Lakes man with a number of puncture wounds. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Security Officers were able to view CCTV footage of the incident and identify a number of suspects. Patrols located three males nearby who were arrested.
A 19-year-old APY man and two 17-year-olds from Croydon Park were charged with assault causing harm and bailed, with conditions, to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 16 April, and Youth Court on 6 and 7 of March.
Police will continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to any violent or anti-social behaviour in the CBD. Anyone who witnesses this kind of behaviour is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444 or 000 in an emergency.
