Early Voting Begins for 2024 Local Elections

The NSW Local Council Elections are on Saturday, 14 September 2024. All eligible voters within the Griffith Local Government Area (LGA) are reminded that voting is compulsory and must be completed within their Local Government Area.

Early voting opens on Saturday, 7 September 2024. If you are unable to vote on election day, you can cast your vote early at one of the designated pre-polling locations in the Griffith LGA.

Pre-Polling Locations:

Griffith Aboriginal Community Centre

Address: 5 Wiradjuri Place, Griffith

Open: Wednesday, 11 September to Friday, 13 September 2024

Griffith Region Returning Officer's Office

Address: Griffith Regional Sports Centre, Merrowie Street, Griffith

Open: Saturday, 7 September to Friday, 13 September 2024

Residents should check the opening times for these pre-polling places by visiting elections.nsw.gov.au/elections

For those who cannot attend a polling place, a reminder that applications for postal voting close on Monday, 9 September 2024. To apply, visit the NSW Electoral Commission Website.
