Today marks the launch of The Plate With A Mate campaign which aims to provide Tasmanians with opportunities to share a healthy meal with friends.
Minister for Health, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Guy Barnett, said that encouraging more Tasmanians to engage in a healthy diet has never been more important.
"We know that a healthy diet heavily influences our overall health and wellbeing, which is why I am throwing my full support behind this campaign," Minister Barnett said.
"I commend Eat Well Tasmania for utilising the positive interactions between mates to help build healthier eating habits in Tasmanians.
"Every little thing we can do to enable Tasmanians to have a healthy lifestyle is critical – I encourage everyone to get involved and share a plate with a mate."
Eat Well Tasmania will run several events throughout May, with the campaign culminating on Plate With A Mate Day, Friday 24th May 2024.
