From 4 to 6 June, the Centre for Research and Studies for Organisational Development (CRiEDO) of the UAB co-organises the 8th International EDO Congress 2025, which will take place at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence in the management of knowledge and organisations in the 5.0 society. Registrations are now open and can be done through the congress's official website.

This event will bring together experts, researchers and professionals to "analyse and discuss the new approaches and strategies used in the creation and management processes of collective knowledge in the 5.0 society". Likewise, among the objectives of the congress, "the impact that artificial intelligence is having on knowledge management and organisations" will be evaluated and "the tools and utilities of artificial intelligence for the promotion and development of professional communities of practice" will be discussed in depth.
The meeting also aims to "promote the exchange of research, experiences and best practices in this field", "promote the key role of people in the development of organisations and society, making personal, professional, institutional and social development compatible", and "promote joint lines of work between universities, public administration and the private sector on artificial intelligence and the culture of collective learning".
Among the speakers of the multiple lectures and workshops that make up the programme are Andrés Ortega, researcher at the Real Instituto Elcano, who will give the conference "Will people 5.0 continue to be people?"; Xavier Marcet, president of Lead to Change, who will speak on "Humanistic leadership and the impact of artificial intelligence"; Donald Clark, learning tech entrepreneur, who will give a talk on "Evaluation and AI"; and Joaquín Gairín, who will close the congress by speaking on "Anticipations and challenges of knowledge creation and management in the age of information abundance and AI".
