On behalf of the United States of America, I convey my heartfelt congratulations to the people of El Salvador as they celebrate their Independence Day.
This year marks the 203rd anniversary of El Salvador's independence. On this special occasion, I am reminded of the family ties our people share and of the important relationship between our countries. Looking to our shared future, the United States will continue to promote inclusive economic prosperity, citizen security with due process, and human rights in El Salvador.
We welcome this special occasion as an opportunity to recognize our bonds of friendship and look forward to strengthening those bonds even further in the coming year.
