Electric Vehicle-Related Investments 13 November

Natural Resources Canada

On November 12, 2024, the Honourable Julie Dabrusin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Canada, announced federal investments totalling over $18.6 million in 17 Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) charging infrastructure projects, in both private and public spaces.

Federal funding for these projects is provided through Natural Resources Canada's Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). This program addresses a key barrier to the adoption of zero-emission vehicles - the lack of charging and refuelling stations in Canada - by increasing the availability of localized charging and hydrogen refuelling opportunities where Canadians live, work, travel and play.

NRCan is supporting the following projects, aimed at expanding ZEV charging options throughout the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada, empowering Canadians to embrace electric vehicles.
