Emergency Crews Responding To Fatal Fire, Thorneside

Police are investigating a fatal fire in which one child has died this morning, October 6.

Emergency services were called at approximately 7.15am to a Bayside Court property following reports a townhouse was on fire.

Upon arrival, the property was fully involved.

Emergency services have since located the body of an eight-year-old girl.

One person, believed to be a woman in her 30s, remains unaccounted for.

No other injuries have been reported.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
