People who are able to enter the River Murray must not exceed a speed of four knots when they are within 250m of a dwelling or building where it is partially or wholly submerged. This applies to all zones along the river.
This change is outlined in Emergency Management (River Murray) (No 2) Direction 2022 which came into effect at 1pm on 12 January 2023.
Another change in the Direction is how close vessels can come to the Paringa Bridge. Human powered vessels must not be operated within 250m upstream, or under the Paringa Bridge, and those motorised vessels can't go within 50m upstream or under the bridge.
All other restrictions remain - for full details go to SA.GOV.AU - River Murray flood (www.sa.gov.au)
