A bit of Saturday Night Fever is coming to the Theatre Royal, with the Bee Gees Revival Band set to perform on Saturday 17 August.

Mayor Kate Makin said the Lights and Sirens event was being held to celebrate and recognise the contribution of emergency services across Corangamite Shire.

"It's a thank-you event, but everyone is welcome to come along," Cr Makin said.

"You don't have to be an emergency services employee or volunteer.

"It is a really good excuse to enjoy a night out in the middle of winter," she added.

Doors open from 7:30 pm until 10:30 pm. Tickets $20 include entry and light refreshments. Drinks are available at bar prices.

Tickets are available at www.corangamite.vic.gov.au/lights-and-sirens

Mayor Makin said emergency services such as the Country Fire Authority (CFA), State Emergency Service (SES), Ambulance Victoria and Police Victoria provided vital services to Corangamite's communities.

"We've seen first-hand how important emergency services are in times of fire, flood and pandemics.

"But it's the day-in, day-out activities that keep our communities safe and secure.

"This event is a fun opportunity for people to come together and recognise that," Cr Makin said.
