Police have declared an emergency situation in Barellan Point this morning, Queensland Police say.
Officers were called to an address on Endeavour Street at 8.40am following reports a man was armed and making threats at a home.
Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act at 9.35am and have currently blocked off Endeavour Street near Oxley Drive and are asking people to avoid the area.
Officers remain on the scene and there is no further information available at this time.
