Empowering Women To Thrive In Business

Five local women have celebrated their graduation from the City-sponsored 2023 Business Accelerator scholarship, as applications open for the 2024 round.

Tamara Shaw, Nicole Chambers, Terri Wilby, Jessica Kerr and Simone Araujo Gugliandolo have completed the 12-month program, run by Business in Heels, to turn their business dreams into a reality.

The City has increased its support for the Business Accelerator scholarship in order to accept 10 recipients in 2024, up from five.

We're looking to support five women who are starting a new business and five women looking to grow their existing business. Only women located in the Geelong municipality are eligible to apply.

Participants will have access to business mentoring, 24/7 support from trainers, regular group sessions and an online course. Lessons are set to cover business planning, cash flow, unique sales proposition, target market clarity, content and social media strategies, marketing, website SEO and more.

Our program includes tailored mentoring, guidance, online learning and community support, designed to transform them into confident businesswomen.
