Emus and gumnuts catch waste staff's eye in Painted Bin Competition
Week three of the Isolation Bin-spiration Painted Bin Competition has bought forth a winner from Windsor Crescent, whose artwork, featuring an emu, gumnuts and a magpie caught the eye of a waste collection truck driver.
One of the Public Art Advisory Group members and Isolation Bin-spiration judge said of the Windsor Crescent wheelie bin artworks, "Windsor Cres flew in and pecked my vote right out of my hand'.
The, at present, un-named winner from this week will receive a voucher for Red Rock Books & Gallery.
The team at Kalkee Road Children's Hub have also been busy painting their bins, and this past week have shared a video showing team member Bernie transform her handprints in a variety of creative ways. The video be viewed on Youtube.
Wheelie Bin art from the HRCC municipality is also being admired online from viewers around the world via a special Facebook group, titled Bin Isolation Outing. People can view local bin artwork on this international platform on Facebook.
