The economic uncertainty caused by COVID-19 is leading millions of Australians to run through every household expense and see where they can cut costs.
For some the situation is more dire than that; they've either had their hours cut or lost jobs as a result of the pandemic but one energy company is offering assistance to those struggling to meet their financial obligations.
Tango Energy, a zero-carbon retail energy provider is offering assistance to those struggling to pay their bills as a result of COVID-19 and has created a resource page to assist them in navigating the crisis.
The resource page outlines how eligible customers can apply for concessions, life support payments, payment plans, financial support, and state government grants.
In addition Tango Energy has recently made a decision to cut its prices by between 5 and 15 percent in recognition of the spike in domestic electricity prices, and is also extending existing, often cheaper energy deals.
'Tango Energy recognises that not only are a lot of people doing it tough in terms of employment, there's also a danger that domestic prices are creeping up as people spend more time at home in lockdown,' said Domenic Capomolla, CEO of Tango Energy.
'What we're offering is three things. First, a 5-15 percent cut to energy prices. Second, we're extending existing contracts for customers on lower rates. Third, we're offering financial assistance for those directly impacted by COVID-10.'
Any customer impacted by COVID-19 is being urged by Tango Energy to contact them on 1800 856 461 or by emailing
