After careful consideration, including feedback from the public, EPA Victoria has approved an amended operating licence to Coliban Region Water Corporation for its Kyneton Water Reclamation Plant.
The amended licence sets a ratio of less than one part effluent for every three parts of the receiving surface water flow rate of the Campaspe River.
To ensure the licence discharge ratio is able to be accurately calculated, EPA has stipulated the river flow is measured upstream of the discharge point. The licence also includes more stringent water quality parameters in any waters discharged.
The amended licence will be available on the EPA Public Register
