aims to end poverty in all its forms. To achieve this in the Arab region, ESCWA organized a plenary session on "Eradicating poverty in times of crisis" during AFSD.
Participants assessed the implementation status of SDG1 in the region and the impact of conflicts and sudden crises on the efforts of Arab countries to make progress towards this goal.
They also reviewed successful initiatives aimed at reaching the poor and addressing the severity and complexity of poverty.
