Escape Lawful Custody Charges At Townsville 14 July

Police have located a 24-year-old man who allegedly absconded from Townsville Correctional Centre on Saturday, July 13.

The man was located at approximately 6.30pm at a Kelso address and taken into police custody.

He has been charged with one count each of escape by persons in lawful custody, and unlawful use of motor vehicle.

He is due to appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, July 15.
