Police have charged a man after he allegedly escaped from a correctional centre on Sunday, January 28, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged around 4.30am a head count was conducted by correctional officers and two men aged 23 and 30 were unaccounted for.
At 3.26pm today a man was located in the rear of a residence in Oakenden near Sarina and arrested by police.
A 23-year-old Bucasia man has been charged with one count of escape lawful custody.
He is expected to appear at the Mackay Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police are appealing for public assistance for any information on the whereabouts of the 30-year-old man.
