An inmate who escaped from custody in the state's west has been arrested and charged.
The 24-year-old man was last seen fleeing a corrective services facility attached to Broken Hill Local Court around 1.00pm on Monday (14 January 2024).
Officers attached to Barrier Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.
As part of inquiries, officers attended a home on Creedon Street about 9.40am today (Thursday 18 January 2024) and arrested the man.
He was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where an outstanding warrant for the offence of Inmate escape/attempt to escape from lawful custody was executed.
The man has been refused bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court today.
