What: As part of the Arab Forum for Equality to be held in Amman, Jordan on 30-31 May, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) will launch "Josour", a regional initiative to reduce inequalities in the Arab region by creating employment opportunities for young people and providing training to improve their skills and increase their employability.
Lebanese Superstar Elissa will be the public figure advocating this initiative.

Who: The launch will feature statements by:
- Ms. Rola Dashti, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA;
- Ms. Elissa, Lebanese Superstar;
- Mr. Ali Awdeh, Head of Research at the Union of Arab Banks;
- Mr. Sherine Helmy, Chief Executive Officer of Pharco Pharmaceutical Corporation;
- Mr. Salim Araji, Team lead on ESCWA's Future of Work initiative.
The event will be moderated by the renowned Al Arabiya TV Anchor Mayssoun Azzam.
"Josour" will be launched in partnership with Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, the Union of Arab Banks and the Union of Arab Chambers. The "Josour Jordan" and "Josour Lebanon" initiatives will also be launched during the event.
