The Esplanade Dining Precinct (from Shields St to Aplin St) will be closed for Chinese New Year Day celebrations on Wednesday 29 January, from 5.30pm to 8pm (subject to crowd numbers) for public safety.
Council staff will be on site to assist should emergency access be required.
Celebrations include firecrackers (not fireworks) and dragon dancing along the Esplanade Dining Precinct roadway.
Please observe and obey signs advising the changes to normal traffic and pedestrian conditions, and follow any directions and detours as sign posted.Council appreciates your patience and cooperation during this event.
