Motorists are advised from Transport for NSW that essential maintenance work will start next week on Abbotsford Bridge at Curlwaa.
Work will include replacing the Murray River bridge's support rails connecting the truss spans to ensure it continues to safely service the community.
Site set-up will be carried out from Wednesday 3 May, with maintenance work to start Monday 8 May. The project is expected to take seven weeks to complete, weather permitting.
There will be minimal impacts to motorists with repairs carried out away from the bridge deck, however there may be occasional delays of up to 10 minutes to install equipment.
Traffic control and the current 60 km/h speed limit will remain in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
