Mandurah Detectives have charged a man in relation to an evade police incident in Baldivis last night, Thursday 18 May 2023.
About 10:35pm, officers from Police Air Wing observed a motorcycle being ridden at high speed on Kwinana Freeway, near Safety Bay Road in Baldivis.
About 10 minutes later officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Eighty Road, however it will be alleged the rider failed to stop and accelerated away.
Police Air Wing officers continued to monitor the motorcycle as it was ridden at high speed through several streets.
The rider crashed the motorcycle at slow speed as he pulled into a house under construction on Hampshire Way, in Baldivis.
He picked the motorcycle up and attempted to conceal himself and the motorcycle in the house.
Assisted by Police Air Wing, officers on the ground moved in and arrested the man without incident.
A 27-year-old man from Bullsbrook has been charged by Mandurah Detectives with:
- Fail to Stop
- Reckless Driving (to evade police)
- No Authority to Drive
- Used an unlicensed vehicle on a road.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court today, Friday 19 May 2023.
