Evade Police/Dangerous Driving Burnie

Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old woman from Newnham with several driving and drug offences following an evade incident in Burnie on Christmas night.

The woman evaded police on Mount Street, Upper Burnie at around 10:15pm before driving dangerously on the Bass Highway. The woman was safely taken into custody in Penguin at around 10:40pm.

At the time of the incident the woman was unlicenced and breaching court bail conditions, she has been detained to appear in court.
