Have you been to Hawkesbury Fest? It is a free community event hosted by Hawkesbury City Council to connect our community and celebrate what Council does in our community.
Local Government Week 2023 will be held from 31 July to 6 August and Hawkesbury Fest will be held on Sunday, 6 August from 10am to 3pm at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor.
Bring your family and friends to the Hawkesbury riverside to see the exciting demonstration by RUFF TRACK sponsored by Bush's Proteins a division of AJ Bush and Sons. Enjoy free amusement rides, community group and market stalls, kids' activities, and free face painting.
The Local Government Week event is designed to "showcase the work councils do in our local communities, including the wide variety of community services within the Hawkesbury", the Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Sarah McMahon said.
"Local Government Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our unique and vibrant community that we are creating together," Mayor McMahon said.
"I am proud of what Hawkesbury City Council does for our community and I encourage you to come along to the annual Hawkesbury Fest and find out more about what we do, our facilities, the services we provide and our many partnerships that make the Hawkesbury a stronger community.
"Expressions of Interest are now open for community groups to have a stall at Hawkesbury Fest," Mayor McMahon said.
"This is a great opportunity for you to promote your community services to our community."
