A group of people passionate about helping others have secured work in their dream
jobs after completing a fee-free course run by Carinity.
The Certificate III in Individual Support has enabled graduates to forge meaningful careers in aged care and disability support.

Twenty-one-year-old Georgia Scott has worked at an aged care home in Boonah since completing the nationally recognised course.
After experiencing financial hardship, Georgia was grateful she could access the course at no cost thanks to funding by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
"I realised this would be my chance to help older people and give them the love and support they need," she said.
"You couldn't ask for a better job. There are a lot of challenges but there is never a dull shift. It's the most blessed role you could ever have."

Carinity Youth & Families Program Coordinator Diana Clift said the 21-week part-time
course included vocational placement and practical work experience for students.
"Our graduates are now creating positive, lasting change in the community by providing dignity and care to those who need it most," she said.
There are more opportunities for people to obtain the Certificate III in Individual Support, with new courses commencing in late-April/early-May at the Carinity Fassifern Community Centre in Boonah and Carinity Illoura in Beaudesert.
