Dungog residents can look forward to recycling more than ever before. The Dungog Return and Earn machine is scheduled for a large upgrade, allowing the machine to accept twice as many containers then it previously has.
This is a massive win for the Dungog Shire who are very active recyclers. Residents have together recycled over 7,400,000 containers in only four years, putting over $740,000 in container refunds back into the community. We can look forward to an even greater impact for Dungog's people and environment after doubling the machine's capacity.
To accommodate for the upgrades, Dungog Return and Earn will be temporarily closed in two stages:
Closed from 23-24 April, reopening on 25 April
Closed from 30 April - 2 May, reopening second week of May
All major works and capacity upgrades will be complete by the second week of May.
We recommend holding onto those containers until the works are complete, however, recyclers can visit their nearest machine at Return and Earn Woolworths Muree Golf Club, Parking lot, 7 Walker Cres, Raymond Terrace which is a 40-minute drive away.
