EXPERIENCE Consortium Paris: Advancing VR for Mental Health

The NASP team recently participated in the latest EXPERIENCE Consortium Meeting, held on February 6-7, 2025, in Paris, France. The meeting brought together consortium members to discuss the latest advancements in the project, which includes the testing of Virtual Reality (VR) for clinical applications.

Key Discussions and Updates

During the meeting, consortium members provided updates on scientific progress and dissemination activities. NASP's primary focus was the diagnostic application of the technology, particularly how pilot study results will be incorporated into the final version of the VR system. These discussions represented a significant step toward refining the technology ahead of the final proof-of-concept study.

Additionally, the meeting included an update on the ongoing treatment study at the University of Padua (UPV), where researchers are assessing the effectiveness of VR-based interventions for managing depression and stress-related symptoms. As the project nears completion, the consortium also discussed strategies for reporting final results and ensuring a thorough presentation of the research findings.
