An experienced non-executive director with a strong financial and risk management background has been appointed to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's Board.
Ms Donna Hardman had an executive career in the financial services sector where she designed, built, managed and transformed business operations in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Ms Hardman was appointed to the CASA Board from 1 January 2020 for a three-year term by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack.
The appointment replaces former CASA Board member Jane McAloon.
CASA's Chair of the Board Tony Mathews said Donna Hardman will be a valuable addition to CASA's strategic leadership team and looks forward to working with her.
"Ms Hardman's significant expertise in financial and risk management will build on the CASA Board's current capabilities in this important area," Mr Mathews said.
"Ms McAloon made a significant contribution during her term on the CASA Board and Board and Audit Risk Committee. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Ms McAloon for her service and the important contributions she made to our work."
