Housing Minister Peter Tinley today announced the successful proponents that will deliver major construction and refurbishment projects under the McGowan Government's WA Recovery Plan.
The Department of Communities has established two panels to help guide development in Western Australia, including a high volume of single and grouped housing and refurbishment works across the Perth region over two years - with the option of extension.
The successful proponents appointed to the Design and Construct Panel are:
- Dale Alcock Homes;
- Building Development Group Constructions;
- Shelford Constructions;
- Now Living; and
- Carrisa Pty Ltd ATF Sam Minniti Family Trust.
The successful proponents appointed to the Refurbishments Panel are:
- Shelford Constructions;
- A.T. Brine & Sons; and
- AT & DE Wilson ATF The A & D Wilson Family Trust.
These proponents were chosen for their expertise in housing refurbishment and/or designing, and constructing affordable, high-quality, environmentally sustainable, innovative and accessible housing. They also demonstrated their commitment to engage and promote Aboriginal employment, apprenticeship and subcontracting opportunities.
As stated by Housing Minister Peter Tinley:
"The McGowan Government is pleased to announce the successful proponents for these two panels; they represent a wealth of local experience and expertise that will help deliver housing more quickly and efficiently.
"The panels represent an exciting opportunity for the private sector and State Government to work together to create inclusive, safe and affordable places for people to live.
"Importantly, the projects the panels deliver will play a key role in supporting the WA building industry and ensuring the State's economic recovery post-COVID-19."
