Come and see the three new exhibitions at Manning Regional Art Gallery from Thursday 23 January to Saturday 8 March.
Trevor Weeks Opus's An Artist's Odyssey is the artist's final body of work, reflecting his love of art and music, in paintings, drawings and sculpture.
The exhibition features artworks embracing past themes and inspirations from over 50 years of practice, including birds, musical instruments, and boats.
Wootton Creative Alliance's Place surveys the work of a group of artists residing in Wootton, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW and features painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, soundscapes, and ceramics.
Each artist has interpreted their idea of place. Spirit of place is palpable, you can feel it, touch it, see it. Place is where we reside, where we take a deep breath, where the heart lives.
Jen Delirium's You Never Leave uses the graphic qualities of linocut prints in black and white to convey the binary view of our lives including all or nothing, love or hate and pleasure or pain.
Join us for the official opening on 24 January from 6pm. The opening is a Friends of the Gallery fundraiser. Tickets are available for purchase at the door, or online at https://mrag.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Events-News-Listings/Gallery-Events/Exhibitions-Opening.
