Faculty Senate Meeting On Thursday, April 10

The April Faculty Senate meeting will be Thursday, April 10, from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m.The meeting will be in the Faculty Commons Building's second-floor event space.  

Voting members are expected to attend in person.  

Agenda items include hearing from Chancellor Daniel Diermeier and from Vice Provost for Special Initiatives Duane Watson in an update on the College of Connected Computing. Jeanine Romine, director of operations for the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Education will present ESPLORO.

Two items are scheduled for a vote on April 10: a Faculty Manual resolution for Part IV of the manual that concerns grievances and disciplinary actions, and a SPAF resolution on civil discourse in the classroom. In addition to reports related to those votes, the Faculty Life committee will provide a report. Faculty bylaws require a physical quorum for the meeting's votes. 

To accommodate those who may need nearby parking, limited free parking is available 4-6 p.m. in Lot 130. Parking will be marked "Faculty Senate Meeting" and is off Grand Avenue (behind Chipotle). If the parking area is full, there are paid spaces in Wesley Garage and nearby annual parking lots (131B, 132, 111, 80, and 5A and 5B) and daily parking with a pass at the Wesley Garage.
