Council wishes Falls Festival organisers Secret Sounds well for the upcoming event in Melbourne, following their permit for a site in Birregurra being referred to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) after local residents lodged an appeal to Council's decision to grant permission for the event to be held in Colac Otway Shire.
The VCAT hearing process will provide for an independent review of objections to the event being held in our Shire. This process is expected to be concluded early in 2023, in time for the event to be held at the Murroon site next year should it be supported by the Tribunal.
