It’s been a hairy month for 131 QPS members who proudly participated in the annual Movember campaign which challenges men to grow a moustache and men and women to get physically active and Move to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, Queensland Police say.
So far over $34,300 has been raised for Movember by the QPS teams, nearly doubling our efforts from last year. Members were from all over the State including St George, Malanda, Upper Mount Gravatt, Roma, Cherbourg, Aurukun, Cairns, Rockhampton, Zillmere, Springfield, Stafford, Oxley, Brisbane, Burpengary and Yamanto.
Over 1,038kms were "moved" by the teams and team ‘Grow and Move’ from Rockhampton came out on top of the QPS team ladder raising over $15,400.
Well done to all our Mo Bros and Mo Sistas for getting behind this worthy cause.
