The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash at Alligator Creek this morning, April 4.
Initial investigations indicate that around 6am, a vehicle and truck collided on the Bruce Highway at Alligator Creek, south of Townsville.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Giru man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 57-year-old Bundaberg man, was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
